Payroll Accountant Job in Dallas 75201, Texas US
Ajilon Finance is working with a Downtown Dallas company to place a direct hire payroll accountant.

The responsibilities are as follows: -General knowledge of the Payroll Coordinator and Payroll Specialists job duties and the ADP system.
-Create and maintain Report Smith reports as needed.
-Point of contact for all accounting issue resolution including but not limited to tax research, state and local tax setup and compliance, GL, reconciliations, weekly issues including all research with all company code payroll entries.
-Prepare month end payroll reports as required -Prepare all quarterly reconciliations and auditor requests.
-Coordinate year end payroll process with ADP, payroll and the HR department.
Including but not limited to all monthly/ quarterly / annual submissions including internal reports, review and maintain all ADP packets, process adjustments and all related processes and reconciliations.
-Responsible for payroll tax compliance, with local, state, and federal regulations.
This includes researching laws and regulations regarding taxes and payroll withholding procedures in a multi-state environment.
-Assist with implementation of new systems, testing, training and documentation.
Requirements are: -Five years experience in the full cycle payroll process and at least 2 years experience with local/state/federal taxes and annual/quarterly returns.
-ADP Enterprise experience preferred.
-ADP Report Smith experience, able to create basic derived fields.
-Advanced Excel skills preferred including but not limited to macros, named ranges, creating documents with lists, V look-ups and complicated formulas.
-Ability to solve problems, make recommendations and implement changes to processes for efficiency.
-General accounting knowledge with the ability to reconcile payroll related accounts.
-Multiple vendor system experience-Organized work habits, accuracy, and proven attention to detail with strong analytical skills.
