Scope of PositionThe PR/Marketing Communications Coordinator supports the development and implementation of marketing communications strategies and programs.

The role also manages the PR program including relationships with a PR firm and a variety of media including: technology, business, local and vertical media.

This position works with the Marketing Communications Manager well as sales leadership and company subject matter experts to execute PR strategies and bring marketing collateral, presentations and campaigns to life.

ResponsibilitiesMarketing Communications: -Drives development / completion of marketing projects crossing various marketing and organizational functions (Web, events, collateral, sales, training, graphics, print, research, etc.)-Works with marketing and sales leadership to write marketing copy and create marketing resources such as case studies, brochures, sales sheets, newsletters, press releases, thought leadership articles and sales presentations-Helps to edit all written collateral (print and online); Reviews copy layout and graphics for final marketing projects-Analyzes marketing-related data re: customer trends, labor trends, competitor trends, etc. Summarizes / presents findings to key organization stakeholdersPublic Relations: -Assist in managing external PR agency activity -Supports pursuit of analyst, media / press and agency relationships as needed-Responds to enquiries from reporters-Assist with company blog and company representation on other social media outlets-Manages and attends media related events, as needed-Manages speaking opportunities and awards programs-Supports product launches, marketing campaigns and partner programs-Drafts and edits press releases and by-line articles to high standard consistent with company messaging and editorial guidelines-Develops and maintains good working relationships with the media including local and national newspapers and trade magazines-Reviews editorial schedules and manages process to ensure the firm appears in all key features-Assists with organization of press briefings, media training, photography and press attendance at company seminars, as needed.

-Publicizes media coverage on company Webs site and maintains PR site on companys intranet.

Qualifications-2 - 4 years of experience developing / implementing marketing projects-2 - 4 years of experience in Public Relations, including experience working with PR agency-Excellent writing skills; 2+ years of professional writing experience (ie thought leadership and research articles, press releases, articles, etc.) required-Strong organization skills; Experience successfully managing multiple marketing projects required-Bachelors degree in related field required-Experience supporting sales force required-Good communicator with strong business acumen-Industry knowledge of IT Staffing or IT Services preferredRequired Skills: PUBLIC RELATIONS/MARKETING, COMMUNICATION WRITING, Supporting Sales ForceJoin TEKsystems® and get your career on the fast track.
