PI COE SAP Netweaver Architect Job Job in Chicago, Illinois US
DescriptionThe SAP Netweaver Architect will be a visionary for SAP Product development releases.
This position is responsible for the overall architecture of the Netweaver Development platform to meet the long term technical needs of the SAP solution.
It includes all Development aspects of Netweaver as it relates to Process, platform, people and information integration.
The architect must apply complex technical principles / concepts and incorporate industry best practices such as Service Oriented Architecture.
He will work with the latest toolset from SAP in the Netweaver space like CE and ESR, partner with CoE Technical team architects and functional team members to identify usage scenarios.The incumbent provides strategic consulting to Delivery teams and other architects by recommending appropriate technical solutions to meet complex business needs.
Individual will be responsible for guiding the design and development of technical solutions to meet the business needs.
He will also be expected to identify business processes where SOA will be a good fit to ultimately increase reusability of development components and reduce TCO. Apart from this the Netweaver Architect will be expected to a)Develop standards and guidelines including decision trees, best practices and design patterns to realize the architecture strategy for projects, infrastructure operations and baseline supportb)Develop transition strategy to migrate from the As-Is to To-Be architecture statec) Monitor the SAP Netweaver roadmap and industry trends for tools and technologies in the architecture footprint and update the architecture blueprint to realize higher valued) Identify re-usable services that can be used across markets and partner with the factory to build and deploy the servicesWorking with the CoE Team- Partner with the PI CoE team leads to socialize the architecture strategy and realization approach.
- Educate the business process teams to identify and document business patterns - Conduct training programs for factory resources to enable adoption of architecture standards and guidelines for local market solutionsPartnering with Local Markets- Collaborate with local market technology leads to formulate architecture strategy and standards and guidelines- Support the local market teams in the design and development of solutions in conjunction with the factoryRequirements: - Must have a minimum of 10 years of IT experience and at least 7 years of experience in SAP Application development for enterprise solutions.
Needs to have been a part of multiple full cycle SAP implementations.
- Need to have at least 4 years of working experience with SAP NetWeaver Portal, SAP Composite Environment, Web AS, Web Dynpro For JAVA, Enterpise Services Registry and Repository, Web Services, SOAP, XML, Enterprise Services, Composition Application, EJ

30. 3 + years experience with middleware technologies like SAP PI and TIBCO.
- Must be experienced working with SAP enterprise SOA & Enterprise Service Repository.
Also must have experience designing and utilizing service-oriented architectures.
- Must have at least 3 years of experience with ABAP and JAVA Programming.
- Requires strong negotiation, leadership, interpersonal skills, communication, the ability to effectively manage stress and engage in continuous learning
