PCD (Process and Control Development) Manager Job Job in Chicago, Illinois US
Description- Acting as primary liaison and coordinating all Process and Control Development projects- Preparing summary reports and presenting results directly to Senior Management- Providing training and guidance to PCD enhancements for internal controls and fraud prevention- Preparing midyear and year end Control Risk and Fraud Risk Assessments for SOX purposes- Lead the continuous improvement of financial processes and internal controls across PepsiCo - Chicago - Maintain PepsiCo - Chicago accounting policies in coordination with PepsiCo - Provide technical guidance and research support for current accounting issues - Lead Process and Control Development Managers in supervising operation audits, control reviews, and other special projects as needed including the performance of independent testing and documentation of compliance with the Sarbanes-Oxley Act - Perform reviews/analyze business processes designed to strengthen controls, improve efficiency, and eliminate redundant tasks/efforts - Reviews and analyses will be performed both within the Controllers Group (Financial Reporting, CFS, and Cost Accounting) and in areas outside the Controller's Group (including other areas of Finance, Operations, and Sales) - Ensure alignment of PepsiCo - Chicago accounting policies and procedures with PepsiCo corporate accounting policies and procedures through operational and financial reviews - Provide analytical/research support to management on technical accounting changes including quantification of impact - Perform operational audits as necessary identifying PepsiCo - Chicago risk areas and providing recommendations for potential improvements - Development of internal procedures to improve controls over PepsiCo - Chicago assetsRequirements: - Bachelor's Degree in Accounting; MBA or Master of Accounting preferred- 8+ years of experience in accounting/auditing with at least 3 years public accounting experience (Big Four preferred) - CPA designation - High integrity, strong technical accounting skills, and keen analytical skills - Ability to cut through details to summarize information, develop ideas, and solve problems - Strong communication skills - excellent writing and effective and persuasive verbal skills - Manufacturing experience beneficial - Travel will be based out of Chicago (with a minimum of 50% travel if incumbent not located locally)- Direct reports: 4
