" Dollar General's Payment Services Coordinator, while reporting to the Payment Services Supervisor, will be responsible for reconciling and auditing all non-cash payments accepted in our retails stores.
The payments types include, but are not limited to, credit card, debit card, gift card, gift certificates and EBT card.
This position will work in ReconNet on an exception basis to properly reconcile between register information and funding and/or tender amounts received.
The Payment Services Coordinator will interact with financial reporting, cash audit, sales audit, customer relations, treasury, store operations, retail stores and customers.
A positive and customer-friendly attitude is paramount.
Duties and Responsibilities Administer of the reconciliation of the company's electronic payments (credit, debit, and EBT).
Identify over/short and/or sales issues and communicate to proper areas.
Suggest areas for process improvement.
Monitor outside vendor on the collection of returned checks to protect company interest.
Provide service to stores and external customers with returned check questions.
Communicate employees with returned checks to proper field personnel.
Follow up on exception reporting provided by outside vendor.
Administer the reconciliation of the company's gift certificate program.
Follow up with stores not following proper procedure.
Administer the reconciliation of the company's coupon program.
Follow up with stores not following proper procedure.
Assist in the establishment of departmental procedures.
Regularly review procedures to ensure accuracy.
Assist with special projects.
Knowledge of cash and non-cash reconciliation processes.
ReconNet experience a plus.
Ability to understand and apply accounting concepts.
Ability to understand and use Microsoft Office, including Excel, Access, and Word.
Strong decision making skills and problem solving skills with acute attention to detail.
Analytical skills and technical skills to work in a variety of systems.
Requires strong organizational skills and the ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
Requires strong written and verbal communication skills and high energy.
Previous customer service experience.
Ability to be a team player and is customer service driven.
Work Experience and/or Education High school diploma.
College level accounting coursework preferred.
Compensation will consist of a competitive salary based on your experience, with bonus potential.
