Outside Sales - Heavy Haul Trucking Job in Bellaire 77401, Texas US
Summary A Houston based turn-key logistics company offering flatbed, over-dimensional and heavy-haul services has an immediate opening for an experienced Account Executive with a heavy haul account base.
This job requires an established person with an established heavy haul account listing.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Generating new trucking sales leads through various sources, including but not limited to cold calls, telemarketing, email blitz, market research, etc.
Scheduling appointments and visiting potential customers
Making presentations to all title levels of clients
Track and follow up on opportunities
Developing and presenting proposals/quotations including handling contract negotiations, as well as terms and conditions
Closing deals
Building strong relationships with clients to ensure continued revenue growth
Reporting and trending loss opportunities
Self directed, displays initiative and can work independently
Exceptional organizational and time management skills: multi-tasking and prioritizing, planning work activities efficiently to meet deadlines and high level goals
Team player with proven ability to work under pressure
Strong attention to detail with excellent follow-up
Detail oriented
Must possess excellent communication skills both written and verbal This position is a regular, full-time position.
The successful candidate must be proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Microsoft Word, Excel, Power Point and Outlook) with the ability to quickly adapt & work with new software.
A minimum of three (3) years experience with similar duties is required.
Professional sales training is preferred, as is knowledge of and previous experience in the transportation industry.
Must have a valid drivers license as client visits are an integral part of this position.
Candidate must be willing to travel at least 75% of the time, including overnight, out of town travel.
Compensation includes a base salary and commissions, as well as an excellent benefits package.
