Oracle Financials Techno/Functional Analyst Job in Rye 10577, New York US
Oracle Financials Techno/Functional AnalystFinancial Systems Business Unit seeks Techno/Functional Oracle Financials Professional.
Primary job responsibilities include: Manage ongoing priorities, enhancements, production support and projects related to the usage of Oracle applications and participate in rollouts of new modules and functionality.
Design and implement solutions that meet business requirements.
Communicating to management and collaborating with fellow team members on overall global systems upgrades, rollouts, evaluation and planning to ensure ongoing supportability of the currently implemented functionality.
Provide training services to 'power users' and 'end users' and manage user expectations.
Review of new functionality delivered by the application vendors and communication to business users.
Assess and determine scope of implementation effort for consideration within the overall project/enhancement queue.
Manage assigned upgrades, enhancements and new global systems solutions projects: deliver effective business requirements analysis and documentation where applicable.
Develop project plans and determine necessary resources, manage project tasks and timeline, and ensure delivery of necessary system configuration or specifications documentation.
Ensure effective communication of project issues and status, and ensure successful implementation by working in a coordinating and collaborative role with Business owners, Development, Data Architecture, Finance Departments, Advisors and Oracle Support.
Working closely with external software vendors and/or consultants to understand key features and new functionality in order to share such information with internal business users and management and/or to utilize vendor resources to assist with specific implementations.
REQUIREMENTS: Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or Information Systems.
Business knowledge of accounting and/or finance is required.
Thorough knowledge of Oracle Project Management and Project Costing/Billing is required.
Minimum 5 years experience in configuration and support of Oracle Financials applications is required.
Some exposure to Oracle Sales, Time and Labor, Resource Management, Project Intelligence, Self Service modules, Discoverer and SQL query tools like Toad.
Knowledge of functional business processes surrounding the applications is required.
Experience with structured systems management and project management methodologies and tools, including Microsoft Projects and Visio required.
Proficiency with MS Office applications is a must.
Experience with managing projects/issues with service providers relating to custom development or database related issues is a must.
Team player with excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Excellent time management and prioritization skills, ability to independently prioritize and manage assigned projects and multiple concurrent initiatives effectively.
Must be flexible to meet a variety of challenges.
Twenty-four hour availability may be required during critical periods.
Occasional domestic and International travel may be required.
