WHY WAIT?Are you looking for an exciting new opportunity?This may be your lucky day!It is time for a change, and CDI can help!We have an immediate need for a FAH/GL Architect Implementation ArchitectJOB DESCRIPTIONA well respected client in the Indianapolis vicinity is seeking to bring on a talented and knowledgeable Oracle FAH (Financials Accounting Hub) Architect/Project Manager in a full time, direct hire capacity.
The client has committed and budgeted to installing and implementing the Oracle Accounting Hub and is seeking this unique individual to come on board to assist in the entire process from negotiating with Oracle to implementing a new GL across a very complex environment consisting of over 100 feeds to their current system.
What is required is one must possess a thorough and solid understanding of the Insurance and Accounting industries.
While is preferable to have experience implementing FAH, the client is open to those who have implemented GLs across entire systems.
ROLE REQUIREMENTS- Have implemented FAH or GLs in the insurance space; has E-Business Suite experience (11i o
12. - Have implemented FAH/GLs with complex and numerous feeder systems (Oracle and non-Oracle sub ledger systems, 100+ feeds), robust volume requirements, and journal entries of significant size.
- Has an appreciation for GAAP vs. statutory accounting (blue books that have to be produced for life insurance firm) vs. IFRS- Has taken chart of accounts mapping, defined how data will be aggregated, and how accounting processes will be done going forward.
- Can share stories of how he/she designed rule engines, allowing the users to have a more maintainable environment.
Can describe how he removed the need to have hard coded rules deep within the bowels of the system.
- Skilled in designing the system and overseeing results of rule conversion on data.
- Skilled in re-engineering financial business processes (understands how does the firm posts entries, has consolidated multiple chart of accounts, identified how entries are checked for controls, etc)- Worked on large scale business and IT accounting/GL transformations in the past and designed and delivered enterprise solution architectures for accounting/GL solutions- Worked in various capacities with C level, business (accounting, actuary and investment personnel), operations and IT managers, enterprise and functional architects, developers and test teams.
Delivered business analyses and account research documents detailing current architecture, pain points, proposed strategic architecture, estimated CapEx and OpEx and helped in decision making.
- Demonstrated ability to identify root causes of problems, identifies long and short-term impacts of proposed solutions, and provides risk mitigation strategies.
- Extensive experience in writing business and system requirements, the preparation of Solution Architecture, Solution Design- Can share examples of improving operational efficiency (ex.
