Operations Manager Job in Lyndhurst 07071, New Jersey US

Become a part of our tradition! Medieval Times is seeking an Operations Manager for our Lyndhurst, NJ location.
POSITION OVERVIEW: The Operations Manager, reporting to the General Manager, has authority for planning, directing, and evaluating activities related to the operational areas supporting the Medieval Times show.
The Operations Manager is also able to perform as the Manager on Duty when the General Manager is out of the building.
RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE: · Assures all facilities, including building, landscaping, parking, entrances, walkways, etc. are secure and clean.
· Oversees the appearance of the castle and makes recommendations for improvements· Oversees the initial guest experience; including, but not limited to reservation lines, cashier operations, seating cards, and special group or promotional activities· Insures the sequence of food service is followed per company standards· Interacts with, responds to and resolves guest issues and concerns· Verifies that the castle is secured at the end of the show and proper closing procedures have been followed.
· Develops an understanding of budgets and financials statements as they relate to the performance of the castle· Interviews and makes recommendations for hiring decisions· Manages scheduling and timekeeping procedures as established by GM· Provides regular, timely, and continued performance feedback through coaching and development· Monitors labor costs· Assists with special functions, shows, groups, and/or individual guests as required· Performs additional duties as assignedREQUIREMENTS INCLUDE: · Bachelors degree· Minimum of five years related experience working in a retail/restaurant/entertainment venue· Minimum of three years management experience OR equivalent combination of education and experience· Excellent customer service skills· Ability to complete a heavy workload and handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment· Good computer skills· Ability to effectively communicate with Team Members and guests· Physical ability to stand and walk for extended periods· Ability to lift up to 30 lbs· Ability to work varied hours including nights, weekends, and holidays The position offers a competitive Base salary plus bonus with full benefits and an exciting work environment!
