Online Publishing Program Manager Job in Boston 02210, Massachusetts US
Online Publishing Program Managers are responsible for leading cross-functional teams in the execution of online publishing client projects from concept to completion, with a focus on managing customer satisfaction, resource planning and overall profitability.
Online Publishing Program Managers lead one or more client engagements through all aspects of the development lifecycle, following defined development methodologies including business requirements gathering & analysis, application design and development, resource planning, project planning, and scheduling.
At Interactive Factory, you will join a team of talented experts in information architecture, interactive design, engineering and project management.
You will work on projects for clients across the spectrum in the publishing market: Publishers, Societies, University presses, Libraries.
Responsibilities: Manages a portfolio of projects with focus on client satisfaction, schedule, budget, invoicing and functional solutionsDevelop project plans specifying goals, strategy, staffing, scheduling, identification of risks, contingency plans, and allocation of available resourcesSets and meets project milestonesLeads business requirements gathering and analysis phaseLeads product / application functional specification phaseEstablishes and maintains project communications with client and teamMaintains and manages project budgets and scopeParticipates in weekly resource planning meetings in order to effectively allocate resources to the projectLeads teams of 2-7 membersManages vendor relationshipsEnsures work quality based on company standardsEnsures ongoing client satisfactionHelps managing client relationships, expectations, and feedbackAssists with the creation of project proposals and Statements of Work and ensure alignment of budgets and schedules with project proposals by reviewing proposals authored by Account ExecutivesDocuments or manages documentation of the projectAuthors scope changesRequirements: 3-5+ years experience as a Program/Product Manager in an electronic publishing environment.
Strong leadership skills Experience with people management preferredStrong knowledge of MS Project and MS ExcelAbility to plan, organize, analyze and establish priorities to achieve results.
Must work well under pressure: highly motivated and energetic multi-tasker.
Ability to work independently within a team-oriented environment.
Detail and results oriented.
Good organization, research and troubleshooting skills.
Ability to learn new skills, technologies, methods and procedures quickly and effectively.
Demonstrated ability to creatively solve problemsStrong communication skills, both verbal and writtenExperienced with web-based application project management Compensation is commensurate with skill level.
