Nurse Practitioner Job in El Paso 79902, Texas US
Performs professional and highly responsible Nurse Practitioner services to clients with problems in the area of mental health, mental retardation, and substance abuse.
Clinical Oversight is provided by the assigned Psychiatrist in all matters regarding medications, hospitalization, suicide, homicide assessments, and all other matter involving medical judgment and intervention.
Serves as consultant to other professionals.
Provide feedback to the Medical Director of noted systems problems and accepts other responsibilities as assigned by the Medical Director.
Must comply with all EPMHMR Policy and Procedure to include adherence to Nurse Practitioner Oversight Processes.
Bachelor Degree in Nursing from an accredited program plus at least 1 year of work experience as an RN in a recognized health agency, hospital, or health care facility preferred.
Licensed Registered Nurse and Board approved to practice as an Advanced Practice Nurse.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Must be licensed as a Registered Nurse in the State of Texas or in a party State that recognizes reciprocity through the Nurse Licensure Compact as described in Art.4528b of the Nurse Practice Act.
