Non Destructive Test Technician - NDT Level III Job in Queens 11367, New York US
Queens, New York aerospace parts and assemblies manufacturer needs a Certified Level III NDT Technician.
Working on high precision parts for military and aerospace customers, you will use non-destructive Penetrant and Magnetic Particle inspection techniques.
You should have experience performing these NDT techniques: Penetrant, Nital Etch, Pre-Penetrant Etch, Passivation, Internal Heat Treating and Stress Relieving.
You will set up and calibrate equipment, interpret and evaluate results.
Maintain solutions in chemical processing tanks.
Prepare test documentation, and assure that all work is done completely, with the highest level of quality, and adhering to NADCAP, FAA, and customer specifications.
Maintain logs and certifications for processed parts.
Create and approve NDT, Heat Treat, and chemical processing techniques.
Five or more years experience as a Non-Destructive Test Technician (NDT Technician) is required in aerospace, commercial aircraft, or the military.
Must have documentation of certifications at Level I, Level II, and Level III. Should be able to read blueprints and drawings.
