NURSE PRACTITIONER -PULMONARY Job in Everett 02149, Massachusetts US
Cambridge Health Alliance is a nationally recognized, award-winning health care system that serves the residents of Cambridge, Somerville and Boston's Metro-North region.
It is comprised of The Cambridge Hospital, Somerville Hospital, Whidden Memorial Hospital, the Cambridge Public Health Department, more than 20 primary care practices and Network Health - a statewide managed Medicaid health plan.
The role of a Nurse Practitioner is to assess the physical and psychosocial health of individuals and families by: obtaining health, medical and social histories using the problem oriented (SOAP) recording system.
Evaluating, interpreting and recording the developmental status of the patient and family in order to plan and execute proper intervention.
Essential job functions are focused on customer satisfaction, effective use of resources, teamwork, innovation and continuous quality improvement.
Qualifications/Requirements: Work Experience: A minimum of five (5) years RN experience required.
Education/Training: Successful completion of an accredited Nurse Practitioner program or graduate of a Bachelors/Masters Degree program with an incorporated Nurse Practitioner Program.
Licensure: Registered to practice in the Commonwealth of MA in a expanded role.
Maintains DEA number & MASS DPH registration to prescribe controlled substance.
Certifications: Must have taken/passed a recognized national certification exam and have maintained certificationCurrent Basic Life Support 'C' Certification.
Must complete successfully CHA's (Cambridge Health Alliance) credentialing process.
