The Molecule Development Manager will over see the progress and communications of a particular molecule as it progresses along the drug development continuum according to the awarded contract from the client, collaborating with the team leader and team members to assure the strategic scientific components are in place, plans are being developed, and execution proceeds in a timely manner.
Coordinate the services and resources necessary, from the various BUs within Covance, to meet the needs of the clients in the development of a particular compound.
With the team leader, consult with the client regarding the strategic development of the compound and recommend alternatives and ideas.
Using scientific and drug development experience and knowledge, under the direction of the team leader, consult within CVD and with the clients to ensure the best methods and processes are utilized in the strategy for the development and drive for various drug development milestones.
At the direction of the team leader or the Clinical IDD leader, research and summarize critical aspects of the development question at hand.
At the direction of the team leader, draft, summarize and edit molecule development plans as they change and require modifications.
Performs other related duties as assigned.
Experience: Drug development co-ordination experience running across the drug development continuum, three plus years, depending on the specific experience attained Demonstrated expertise in working with project teams achieving successful outcomes.
High level of interpersonal skills including general communication and ability to influence others.
Skilled in performing presentations and leading meetings.
Skilled time management and planning.
Budgeting and expense accounting rersponsibilities helpful.
Other required work-related experiences.
Education: PhD in a relevant scientific concentration preferred Masters Degree in a relevant concentration and five years of experience managing development teams in the Pharma setting acceptable.
