Modis, a Fortune 1000 leader in IT staffing services and solutions, is currently seeking a Mid-Level Technical Writer for a 1 month contract to hire position in Rockville, MD.  The salary is commensurate with experience up to $65,000.  This position requires the ability to obtain a security clearance.  Qualified applicants please send a Word document of your resume to erin.mcdonald@modis.com.  The Technical Writer will be responsible for developing user manuals and training manuals, and writing requirements, test and use cases.  They will be responsible for updating existing documentation and creating other materials from templates or scratch.  They will also provide some training on newly created and upgraded systems.  The writer must be able to analyze user needs and translate them into concise requirements.  They will also be required to support the creation and maintenance of architecture and design documents.  Required Skills:-Strong writing skills to support PMM requirements documents.-Strong testing knowledge including the creation of test plans to ensure compliance with requirements, execution of test cases, and the reporting of test results.-Proficient with MS Word and Excel.-Experience with RoboHelp for online materials-Process oriented knowledge of software processes, including CMMI and RUP (Rational Unified Process)
