It's a smart move.Job Posting Title Medical Facilities Underwriting SpecialistKey Responsibilities - Determine underwriting acceptability, classification and pricing for new and renewal Medical Facility business through disciplined underwriting.
- Develop and maintain broker relationships.
Includes regular agency visits based on business need and participation in field office underwriting and producer reviews.
- Develop new sources of distribution for our Medical Facilities E&O business in the Southern region.
- Explore cross sell opportunities within other professional lines of business.
- Responsible for local knowledge of marketplace in Southern region including underwriting issues and top competitors.
- Responsible for file maintenance, mid-term transactions, soliciting renewals, renewal retention, risk analysis, file documentation and new business while working within company underwriting guidelines.Key Requirements/Skills/Experience - 5+ years Medical Facility and/or Sr Living or related lines underwriting experience.
- Ability to analyze risk and find creative solutions for our customers while still following company guidelines.
- Strength in servicing and underwriting a book of business.
- Strong agency management skills.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Strong computer skills.
- Ability to work with other Specialty and Firemans Fund Insurance Company (FFIC) partners.
