Medical Biller/Collections Job in West Palm Beach, Florida US
Seeking a Medical Biller and Collections Specialist for local area medical billing office.
The Medical Billing and Collections Specialist performs account follow-up and resolution of patient receivables.
Job tasks and responsibilities: Monitors insurance claims by running appropriate reports and contacting insurance companies to resolve claims that are not paid in a timely manner, identifies coding or billing problems and works to correct them, works with patients and guarantors to secure payment on outstanding account balances.
High school diploma or GED required, must have at least one year of collections experience or relevant education.
Other skills include strong communication, interpersonal and customer service skills required, basic computer skills needed, able to work in a fast-paced environment.
