Media Planner SEM, InteractiveLM&O Advertising, a fast-growing Arlington, VA-based advertising agency, has an exciting opportunity for a motivated and enthusiastic individual to work as a Media Planner SEM in our Interactive Department.Job Summary: We are looking for an Media Planner SEM candidate with 2 to 4 years of Search Engine Marketing experience to work on national & local client base.

Plan and manage SEM campaigns.

Maintain relationships with engines.

Works directly with clients, leads meetings, develops campaign and optimization strategy.

This position reports to the Associate Director, Search and helps direct Associate Media Planners on the search team contributing to the planning, launch, management and optimization of SEM campaigns.

Detailed Description Planning/ImplementationDevelop campaigns to reach client goalsPerform keyword research through tools and/or search engine account teamsProvide campaign estimates and projections for new campaigns through tools or search engine account teamsDevelop and implement recommendations for titles and descriptionsIdentify and map keywords to appropriate landing pagesTraffic campaigns in 3rd party bid management toolIdentify appropriate online tracking strategy to reach client goals Management/OptimizationAnalyze campaign data and adjust bids accordingly to achieve maximum client ROIUnderstand all functions of 3rd party bid management toolDevelop optimization plans through creative/copy enhancements, landing page choices, account set up, keyword build-out, advanced SEM tactics and execute them or direct associate planners on execution.

Create weekly/monthly reports with detailed analysis to measure past and guide future optimizationsProvide campaign Insertion Orders for Search Supervisor approvalUse industry research tools for advanced problem solvingApprove and track payments of invoices by vendors for clientResponsible for training, providing guidance, establishing goals and providing an appropriate level of feedback on a regular basis to junior associates Account Management· Understand the key marketing objective of client programs· Act as day to day contact for assigned client· Plan, coordinate, and track project delivery for client· Manage assigned vendor relationships, and act as the main point of contact Account & Personal DevelopmentStay current with the latest SEM trends through relationships with the search engine account teams and general industry trade information.

Understand the competitive landscape and report back to Media Planners and/or clientsMaintain or qualify for SEM professional status (ie Google AdWords Professional)Other duties as requiredSome travel may be required Required Qualifications: 2 4 years of experience in search or related fieldBachelors degree in advertising, marketing or related programProficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel and AccessStrong mathematic and analytical skillsAbility to multi-task within a fast-paced environmentStrong interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills.

Desired skills: Experience with successfully managing Google, Yahoo!, MSN, Ask, MIVA, or others PPC campaigns a plusExperience working with clients, advertisers or partner relationships Certified Google Advertising Professional status a plusWorking knowledge of web analytic and bid-management tools
