The Mechanical Project Engineer researches, develops, plans, and designs mechanical and electromechanical products and systems.
This individual applies research to the planning, design, development, and testing of mechanical, electromechanical, and/or optical systems, instruments, and controls.
Additionally this individual will act as a conduit to Manufacturing and Document Control for product release and maintenance.
Responsibilities Include: Electro-optical-mechanical instrument product design;Project level responsibility from design phase through to manufacturing;Modeling device design using SolidWorks ;Development of prototypes for design verification and validation;Creation and validity of Bill of Materials and design documents; Education and Experience Require: BS in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent experience;3+ years of industry experience and designing parts and assemblies for electromechanical and optical products; Strong CAD design skills, preferably in Solidworks;Highly organized, detail oriented, able to work effectively independently and in teams;Proven ability to take simultaneous projects through completion in a timely manner;The ability to collaborate effectively with other team members, including sales, manufacturing, R&D and other engineers; NOTE: Any external applicant will be subject to a pre-employment background check.
