Manufacturing Electronic Technician Job in Woodside 11377, New York US
Manufacturing Electronic TechnicianWorking in a production environment, this highly visible qualified individuals primary focus will be troubleshooting electronic assemblies to the modular level, accurate analysis and categorization of failures into databases, trend analysis, and reporting data to the Manager of Manufacturing and QA Engineer for corrective action.
Reporting to the Manager of Manufacturing, this position has the following major duties and responsibilities: Responsibilities and Duties: - Troubleshoot to the modular level and make repairs when necessary.
- Working with Manufacturing Engineer, QA Engineer, and Product Engineer, determine root cause of failures in the manufacturing process and make recommended solutions.
- Perform failure analysis and evaluate returned product for cause of failure.
Clearly document all findings and maintain accurate failure analysis records.
- Assist QA, Manufacturing, and Development Engineers in the design of test fixtures and the preparation of test procedures.
- Train Manufacturing testers in the use test fixtures and respective procedures.
-Calibrate electrical and mechanical inspection tools and equipment.
Qualifications: Associates Degree in electronics.
5 years of strong electronic circuit troubleshooting skills and experience.
Knowledge of digital and analog circuits.
Ability to read and interpret schematics.
Proficiency in the use of test and measurement equipment (oscilloscopes, DMM's, etc.). Experience with surface mounted devices.
Strong organizational, record keeping, written and verbal communication skills.
