Managing Director, National Relationship Manager Job in Boston 02108, Massachusetts US
Key Focus: Accountable for the establishment of business development practices with a focus group of Investment Only trading platforms, product providers, record keepers and broker/dealers Proactively meet with Platforms, Product Providers, Record Keepers and broker/dealersIn conjunction with Platform Group, insure that John Hancock Mutual Funds are tradable, supported by and listed on short lists at focus relationshipsEstablish a business development plan with Sales teams of Record Keepers, product providers and broker/dealersAttend key industry, product provider and dealer conferences as assigned Requirements: Bachelor's Degree Required8+ Years of Industry ExperienceInvestment Only Experience or equivalent 3+ YearsSeries 6 or 7, Series 26 or 24Advanced designations such as: CIMA, CFA, CFP, CEBS, ChFC, CRPCJob will require 60% to 70% travel Technical skills-Knowledge of Investment Only Platform structure and pricing and above average knowledge of trading platform technologyCommunication skills-Strong written skills, strong presentation skills to both large and small groupsIndustry knowledge-Strong knowledge of the Mutual Fund Industry Strong knowledge of retirement plans including structure from both a plan concept standpoint and an operational standpointFamiliarity of primary trading platforms, record keepers, product providers and broker dealers for retirement plansKnowledge of a Mutual Fund Company's structure with regard to product pricing, back office operations, marketing and sales Strong relationships with key individuals at trading platforms, record keepers, product providers and broker/dealersAbility to resolve complex pricing or trading issues if requiredAbility to present to and work with all levels of managementAbility to have both sales acumen and a strong understanding of how to work with back office operations to accomplish goalsExperience prioritizing how and where to invest in various programs in order to achieve goals NOTE: Looking for a candidate located in the Northeastern part of the U.
