JOB TITLE: Manager of Information Technologies Supervision and Direction Received: Director of IT, Director of Operations Supervision and Direction Exercised: Systems Administrator and Desktop Specialist Job Purpose: Manages IT resources for local office/region.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES q Serves as primary contact for staff in local office IT support issues.

Requires a strong, customer-service oriented approach.

q Seeks a current awareness of technology and maintains applicable skills.

q Directs and manages local office IT staff.

q Works with local office Director of Operations and Corporate Director of IT to develop business and strategic technology initiatives for local/regional office.

q Coordinates the computing environment that includes LAN services, client server computing services and disaster recovery services.

Ensures these services meet corporate standards.

q Implements policies and procedures in accordance with corporate standards.

q Ensures that all offices data is secure from viruses, thefts, acts of sabotage, and major disasters.

q Develops annual local/regional IT budget in conjunction with Director of Operations and Director of IT.q Maintains inventory & controls purchasing costs.

Responsible for maintaining records for software licensing, purchases, leases, etc.q Works with other IT managers and Corporate IT to develop long-range technology direction, and research and development.

q Compiles and prepares periodic status performance and trend reports review.

q Works with Corporate IT staff to implement new technology and resolve technical problems.

q Assists other IT team members as needed and becomes a resource for the group.

q Communicates with co-workers, management, clients, other offices, etc. in a courteous, effective and professional manner.

q Conforms with and abides by all regulations, policies, work procedures, and instructions.

q Must be detail oriented and able to work in a team environment.

q Must be able to set priorities, multitask and work independently.

q Performs other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONSExperienceq 5 10 years of leadership experience.

Experience with Architecture/Engineering firms preferred.

q MCITP Enterprise Desktop Support and Server Administrator Certifications highly preferredq Project management experience Educationq Bachelor's degree required.

Computer Science or Management from an accredited college or university preferred.

Technical Skillsq Maintains, analyzes, troubleshoots, and repairs computer systems, hardware and computer peripherals.

q Working experience with maintaining and integrating software through scripting, group policy and WSUSq Working experience with Active Directory and Group Policy Objects -demonstrating the ability to support and maintain user account information including rights, security and group membershipq Knowledge of Microsoft Windows 7 and 2008 operating systems.

q Strong problem solving ability.

q Demonstrates an advanced knowledge of technology.

q Experience supporting and managing LAN, client server applications, email, CAD software.

q Experience with managing IT infrastructure, network security and staff.

q Ability to keep up with IT developments, trends and business development.

q Identifies and recommends alternative technologies.

Language Skillsq Ability to communicate effectively with management and all staff members.

q Presents complex issues/data with high level of clarity and impact.

q Matches communication mode and message to client/customer special needs or concerns.

Reasoning Abilityq Applies common sense understanding to carry out detailed written or oral instructions.

q Able to solve problems and learn from past mistakes.

q Deals creatively with more complex problems where there are few precedents or solutions.

q Serves as a problem solving resource for junior staff.

q Good organizational skills.

q Works with minimum supervision.

Work may also require the ability to discern machinery and material movement and distinguish details.

Work is typically performed in an office setting.
