This position provides project and team leadership in the design, development, production, delivery and management of the HIMSS Annual Conference including the call for proposal process, speaker management and onsite logistical management of the North American Annual Conference.

The incumbent: · Provides overall management and support for the production and implementation of the North American Annual Conference.

Directs the Call for Proposal and Call for Reviewer processes and provides administrative site development, testing and follow-up with all potential speakers, and reviewers.

Facilitates and provides communication support to the Annual Conference Education Committee in finalizing the topic categories for the Call for Papers.

Facilitates the agenda and meeting preparation.

· Engages with internal content and subject matter experts as well as volunteers to develop relevant and quality education programs.

Serves as a liaison to ensure timely communication between volunteers and HIMSS staff.

Manages the development of the Annual Conference proceedings and marketing materials.

Interact with internal departments to ensure effective program promotion and exceptional attendee experiences.

· Interacts with speakers at all levels of programming and engages credibly with them in the development of their content.

Provides onsite logistical management including Speaker Ready Room to facilitate seamless speaker and moderator check-in processes.

Also facilitates training and onsite management of all student volunteers.

· Utilizes project management skills that demonstrate the ability to manage multiple, highly-detailed projects simultaneously, bringing them to completion within expected time frames and manages the development and completion of program elements within related time lines.

· Provides research and market analysis to identify new audiences and topics for consideration in future conference programs.

· Provides direct support and training to Education Coordinator in carrying out the tasks and timelines required in that position.

· Assists with the completion of the budget and maintenance of actual revenue/expenses for all areas of direct responsibility.

Qualifications: Bachelors Degree, or equivalent experience plus five years of related work experience required.

Must have exceptional written and verbal communication skills and presentation skills.

Must have the ability to articulate and to sell ideas and concepts.
