Manager Procurement - 610222Role: Complete enterprise-level software licensing agreements for Wolters Kluwers business units globally, taking into account business needs and financial considerations.
Drive significant, measurable financial benefits (savings & cost avoidance) as a result.
This assignment is expected to last until Dec 31, 2010.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES1.
Renew expiring subscription agreement with salesforce.com. This contract covers multiple business units, each of which has its own salesforce.com organizations and support levels2 Establish and document renewal terms of Citrix Flex Agreement3 Develop licensing strategy for Microsoft Windows, Microsoft Office and Client Access Licenses.
Develop 2010 budget inputs based on licensing strategy.
Negotiate new or amended Enterprise Agreement as necessary4 Work with recent acquisitions to migrate existing software licensing agreements to Wolters Kluwer global agreements5 Support development and negotiation of Oracle licensing transaction based on enterprise review of licensing needs6 Support one-off software licensing transactions as required.
JOB QUALIFICATIONS Education: Bachelors degreeExperience: 5+ years in IT procurement Must have experience in negotiating software licenses with Microsoft and Oracle.
* Demonstrated ability to manage projects staffed with resources from different organizations, skill levels and backgrounds that are not direct reports.
* Quantitative analytical skills, spreadsheet modeling and advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel (eg use of lookup tables, pivot tables).
* Understanding of software licensing and volume licensing models.
* Experience in negotiating, including application of concepts such as BATNA, reservation process, bargaining zone analysis, relationship-building* Strong written and oral communication skills.
* Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to work in a team.
* High productivity, excellent time management skills and strong work ethic; ability to work as an individual.
* Ability to exert influence and persuade key stakeholders with facts and analysis that may be counter to perceptions.
* Experience interacting with senior executives.
TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS (Ability to travel 10-20% (Typically 1-2 day trips) International travel required occasionally.
Travel mainly to Europe
