Raytheon is seeking an individual to work within a high paced environment as a Mid Level Security Engineer from Monday - Friday, between the hours of 8 am to 5 pm Shift work may be necessary at times.
Candidate should be a self-starter, capable to multi-task between different projects and be willing to learn a variety of security products.
The candidate will be responsible for ensuring the confidentiality, integrity and availability of multiple networks in accordance to National Industrial Security Program Operating Manual (NISPOM) and DoD regulations by completing a variety of tasks.
Under limited supervision, this individual will be responsible for monitoring identified networks for malicious activity, by reviewing and analyzing events within the intrusion detection system (IDS), intrusion prevention system (IPS) and audit logs.
Findings will be investigated and reported through the appropriate incident handling procedures.
Candidate will also act in the role of System Administrator to ensure security assets are properly configured and updated with the latest patches and virus definitions to ensure their integrity to properly monitor the various networks.
This individual will be responsible for conducting vulnerability management of various networks to ensure their compliance with Defense Information Systems Agency (DISA) regulations.
He / she will provide guidance to junior and mid-level team members concerning security related events.
Salary will be commensurate with experience and knowledge.
Required Clearance : Top Secret Clearance Required Skills : - BS Computer Science or related discipline - CISSP - 8 - 10 years of experience within the Security field in any of the following disciplines: Intrusion Detection Analysis, Firewall Installation Configuration and Monitoring, Information Assurance - Understanding of Windows Operating System Desired Skills : - Understanding of Intrusion Detection Systems / Intrusion Prevention Systems, Vulnerability Scanners and Firewalls - Experience in the use of Retina Vulnerability Scanner, Cisco PIX 515E, Netscreen 208, SecureComputing Firewall Sidewinder 611 o
