Manager, Vendor Management, Video Games Job in Seattle 98104, Washington US
We're looking for an exceptionally motivated, analytical, strategic and results-oriented Manager, Vendor Management to manage retail video games buying and vendor relationships.
The successful candidate will be managing a team of senior vendor managers and a site merchandiser and will be responsible of negotiating contracts, terms & conditions, pricing, developing collaborative marketing and impactful promotions, and driving sales and margin improvements.
In addition, the Manager, Vendor Management must be an effective leader and communicator in working with Amazon.com partners and vendors, as well as with internal groups such as technical teams, inventory managers, marketing & PR, finance, operations, and retail systems.
The ideal candidate has strong business judgment with a track record of successful negotiations and business development.
The successful candidate will have excellent verbal and written communication skills; the analytical horsepower to break down complicated business terms; experience working with external vendors; and a strong will to get stuff done and deliver results.
Proven analytical thinking, project management skills, attention to detail, and exceptional organizational skills are musts.
The Manager, Vendor Management is an effective leader and communicator and a seasoned problem-solver.
The successful candidate will demonstrate: Superior communication and analytical skills, including strong ability to identify and solve ambiguous problems.
Proven negotiating skills and influencing abilities, strong presentation skillsComfortable with "hands-on" management of day-to-day tasks - experience in implementing action plans and daily resolution of problems & issues to meet objectivesGood organizational skills including prioritizing, scheduling, time management, and meeting deadlines Technical aptitude and agility to learn web-based tools BA/BS plus 5+ years of relevant work experience, MBA a plus
