The Manager/Director of Strategic Business Planning is responsible for managing the SIMULIA strategic business planning, competitive intelligence processes and associated data.

You will be expected to build and maintain short and long term business plans in cooperation with the Dassault Systems corporate strategy team and other divisions (DS Brands), ensuring consistency of SIMULIA planning with those throughout the company, while still providing business information to SIMULIA Sales, Marketing & R&D as input to the brand planning process.

You will work with senior managers within the Strategy & Marketing department as well as those in other departments to establish a vision for the delivery of business & market data/analytics, define key business intelligence, and develop processes to allow efficient production of regular reports and the interfaces to the corporate strategy team.

You will be expected to help drive this vision through the adoption of business intelligence and reporting tools, as well as the delivery of reports to department leads and managers.

You will be part of multiple teams involved in understanding, analyzing and improving the information and derived intelligence.

In addition, you will be involved in analysis of the key market segments SIMULIA currently serves and those that should be developed for future growth.

This will include monitoring the competitive landscape, understanding revenue trends by product area, industry and geography.

With your team, you will be responsible for building and maintaining business profiles on core competitors and potential strategic partners and/or acquisition targets.

These analyses will provide insight into our current and future business models and serve to define the future as new products, channels and licensing models are developed.

Requirements: Candidates for this position must have a Bachelor's degree and more than 10 years experience in the software industry, ideally with a significant degree of customer and sales force interaction, business development and project management.

An MBA or other graduate degree would be highly desired.

Additional requirements include: · Strong analytical, communication and interpersonal skills for both business and technical audiences· Ability to focus on producing timely, accurate and dependable information, consistently delivering business value with a strong track record of success· Understanding on how to utilize business information to drive business value, including a focus on customer-facing strategies· Leadership experience in managing multiple, large, cross-function teams and projects, and influencing senior level management and key stakeholders.

· The ability to learn and work independently to look at the business to identify strategy, process, and relationship opportunities.
