Manager, SAP Data Management Job in San Diego, California US
Our client is seeking a Manager of SAP Data Management.The responsibilities of this position include the following: Manages professional employees and/or supervisors; may manage business support, technical or production staffHas accountability for managing financial resourcesProvides technical guidance to employeesDevelops processes and procedures to implement functional strategiesHas in-depth expertise in own job family and knowledge of the related job familiesApplies expertise to improve effectiveness and provide guidance to employees in own areaMakes decisions, often difficult and/or unpopular, that impact the work of subordinates within job family; influences subordinates to support decision by presenting rationale/business caseRecognizes development needs and capability gaps in own area and arranges specific projects/assignments to address needsProactively identifies talent internally and externally, including participation in succession planning process for job familyCascades organizational goals through the function/work area to the individual level and ensures individuals understand how they can contributeBuilds confidence and respect of others through a positive and energizing styleAccepts responsibility for establishing goals and achieving results within own job family, holding self and others accountable for resultsManages budget for own area and allocates resources accordingly, applying knowledge of profit drivers within own area/job familyInterprets internal/external business issues and adapts work priorities in own areaAssists in the definition of strategic plans for own work team/job family or key product(s)/service(s)Works with customers to anticipate and interpret customer needs and business challengesIdentifies quality and service-oriented customer solutions and shares key learnings with othersResolves operational problems that impact the effectiveness of own areaQualifications: Bachelor of Science (BS) in Computer Science, Business or related field preferred or equivalent work experienceA minimum of 6 years of SAP implementation and post-production support experienceAt-least 3 years of hands-on experience in master data conversion, analysis, governance or administration across all areas of SAPAt-least 3 full project life-cycle SAP implementations with SAP R3, MDM, CRM or Business IntelligenceStrong functional and technical skillset covering master data migration/conversions, configuration, data governance/on-going maintenancePrior experience with SAP MDM desirablePrior experience with non-SAP master data management technology is a plusPrior experience establishing data governance strategies and best practices as well as and leading data management organizations a strong plusPrior experience integrating SAP CRM data (Install Base, Service Contract, Part Returns) is strongly preferredKnowledge of current and emerging SAP and 3rd party master data management best practices, data governance, tools and technologies desirableExcellent communication skills, both verbal and writtenExcellent quantitative and problem solving skillsDemonstrated skill in working independently or leading teams
