Manager, Health & Welfare Operations Job in New York City, New York US
Position Summary: This key team member will help the Health & Welfare group to maintain health and welfare operations and data cleanliness, support the annual open enrollment process, research and respond to participant escalations and assist in meeting and maintaining regulatory and compliance requirements.
We need an individual who is strong in the areas of data analysis, finance, and information management.
This person will also need to have the ability to work well across internal departments, TW divisions, and with the company's Health & Welfare plan administrators.Job Responsibilities: Support of client issue resolution and ownership of policy review, recommendations and issue remediation process Analyze, review, and summarize vendor reports and programs and develop remediation plans while improving plans, as needed.
Identify trends and remediate issues in accordance with TW excellence in service delivery while aligning performance guarantees and other operations Inactive population management and open enrollment process Manage the preparation of regulatory filings, valuation censuses and SPD and online content management Own the open enrollment process including managing plan code assignments, account structure, data testing, vendor implementations, plan design strategy, understanding and communicating accurate interpretation of plan changes, supporting transmission of eligibility data, communications, benefit costs analysis for annual reward statements, benefit system database input and migration analyses Manage data collection, data analyses, and development of presentations for the Benefits Council and senior management Own ad hoc benefits projects and potential audit activityEducation: Bachelors degree requiredExperience: A minimum of 5+ yrs of work experience with Health & Welfare plans Strong project management skills and prior experience initiating and driving projects to conclusion Solid skills in quantitative/qualitative data analysis, finance, information management.
Prior experience working with plan administrators such as BCBS, UHG, MetLife, OptumHealth, SHPS, UNUM, EyeMedSpecialized Knowledge: Strong technical knowledge of Health & Welfare Operations Strong understanding of compliance requirements and controls Inactive and active population experience strongly preferred Data management, analysis and presentation development experience requiredSkills: Past success and ability to work well within a team and a proven relationship builder Strong analytical, organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills Attention to detail along with the ability to manage multiple priorities Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook, and PowerPoint)
