Manager, Forecasting and Market Research (6244) Job in Lexington
Position Summary: As a member of the decision support team, this position will be responsible for product forecasting, market research, and business intelligence supporting the commercial organization.
Duties and responsibilities include: In-line and pipeline product forecasting - quantify sales potential, assess market landscape, evaluate current and future competitors, predict market trends and identify potential opportunities and risksMarket research – develop RFPs, source vendors, execute qualitative and quantitative market research projects, and provide recommendations to Cubist business partnersBusiness intelligence - create in-depth analyses of product performance and market trends that drive strategic decision makingSyndicated data analysis - review, analyze and summarize information from syndicated data and reportsVendor management - source and manage primary and secondary research and data vendors Required Skills: Education: Undergraduate degree in Math, Economics, Finance, Science (or related) MBA a plus Required Experience: 5+ years in forecasting, market research, market analysis, sales analysis or related fieldMinimum 1 year product forecastingPharmaceutical industry experience preferredManagerial experience preferredStrong analytical abilities requiredAbility to juggle multiple projects and set prioritiesStrong strategic thinking and problem solving capabilitiesCan work independently in a dynamic environmentExcellent oral and written communicationExperience using Excel, Word and PowerPointWork Environment: NAPhysical Demands: NoneTo perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily within the context of the representative work environment and physical demands described above.
