Maintenance Mechanic Job in Oakland, California US

Owens Illinois (O-I) is in need of a highly experienced manufacturing maintenance mechanics to ensure the operation of machinery and mechanical equipment.

Responsibilities: Troubleshooting / maintaining / repairing electro-mechanical systems, pneumatic and hydraulic machine operations, electric motors, conveyors etc.Controlling downtime by informing production workers of routine preventative maintenance techniques.
Fabricating repair parts by using machine shop instrumentation and equipment.
Maintaining equipment, parts and supplies inventories by checking stock to determine inventory level; anticipating needed equipment, parts, and supplies.
Position Requirements Qualifications: Must be able to pass mechanical skills test in order to be consideredAt least 2 years of electro-mechanic experience within a manufacturing environment strongly preferredExperience with 440/480v electrical componentsHigh School Graduate or GEDMust be able to lift 25 lbs. on a regular basisMust be able to work a rotating schedule, with weekend and holiday requirements In order to be considered for this opportunity, please submit an online application.
