Amerilab offers experienced assistance from development, through commercialization of effervescent product ideas, including analytical testing and packaging.We are currently hiring for a Maintenance Mechanic II to join our Maintenance team.
SUMMARY: Experienced maintenance mechanic.
Under limited supervision & with minimal technical guidance, at this level, will perform intermediate troubleshooting, work with limited technical guidance & may provide work training to less experienced maintenance staff.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: · Equipment installations ensuring that necessary safety standards are adhered to. · Able to work independently & problem solve high speed equipment to get the line up & running again.
· Must be versatile to learn new equipment & understand PLC controller systems.
· Provide an accurate record of the installation performed to be documented and submitted for approval by the Maintenance Supervisor.
· Assessment of new/used equipment requirements.
· Make parts for existing machines as needed.
· Ensure that machinery is set up and ready to run in accordance with production schedule· Keep department work stations and storage areas orderly and as clean as possible.
· Complete & revise of all Preventive Maintenance SOPs and documentation required in the Maintenance Dept.
· Maintain maintenance supplies & reordering as needed.
· Other projects as needed.
EDUCATION: · Requires a minimum of 2 years technical training & 3 or more years of related experience or equivalent.
QUALIFICATIONS: · Requires not less than five years experience in production maintenance including familiarity with installation and general repair and operation of production equipment and support systems (i.
e., electrical, air, water, HVAC).
· Requires a general knowledge of GMPs, preventive maintenance documentation and PLC technology.
· Ability to read & decipher machine drawings (schematics).
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: · Constant talking, hearing, and near vision.
· Frequent sitting (20%), standing (moving about) (70%), fingering, and reaching.
· Occasional twisting and kneeling.
· Occasionally lifts and carries up to 55 pounds.
