Lean Process Coach (Kaizen) Job in Job location not provided

The 319-bed regional health care system includes Framingham Union Hospital, Leonard Morse Hospital in Natick and the MetroWest Wellness Center.
We are seeking a talented, experienced individual for the position of Lean Process Coach.
GENERAL SUMMARY: Under general direction and supervision of the Lead Kaizen Specialist, the Lean Coach is responsible for coaching Kaizen Teams and facilitating continuous improvement activities using the Lean methodology.
PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Coach and support teams and individuals on identifying the 7 wastes (Transportation, Inventory, Movement, Waiting, Overprocessing, Overproduction, Defects).
Teach and train teams and individuals on the application of problem specific tools to support the Kaizen activity (Five Why's, Problem Pareto, Visual Management, 5S, Pull Systems, Take Time, Poke-yoke mistake proofing, Standardized Work, Kanban Pull/Visual Management, VSM Value Stream Mapping).
Facilitate the deployment of capable and successful Kaizen teams for the purpose of eliminating waste (6 12 team members, conducted at the point of the work, ranging from 1 5 days with full implementation on final day).
Coordinate the documentation of Kaizen/experiment using standard Lean tools (e.
g., A3, Kaizen Newspaper, Target Progress Report).
Ensure implementation and continued follow-up until Kaizen/experiment is hardwired.
Conduct regular observations of completed Kaizen/experiments to support and coach sustainability.
Establish and grow relationships with those closest to the work.
KNOWLEDGE, EXPERIENCE, AND OTHER JOB REQUIREMENTS: This position requires the level of knowledge and skill that is generally acquired through completion of a four year degree.
Proven track record in facilitating teams and managing change.
Must be able to manage close minded skeptics (e.
g., 'that won't work here; we did that 10 years ago; we're not a car factory').
Five years of related experience, including but not limited to first hand experience leading Kaizen events.
Strong analytical, organizational and problem solving skills.
Exceptional communication skills (primarily verbal and listening) with ability to interact effectively across the organization.
Must be comfortable speaking in public and to various audiences.
Competent using personal computer applications (email, Excel, Word, etc.). WORKING CONDITIONS: Must be progressive and flexible in order to thrive in fast paced environment.
