Lead Maintenance Technician II (303453-767) Job in Fort Polk
DescriptionThe Lead Maintenance Technician is a working leader, who will provide guidance to the neighborhood maintenance team in conducting neighborhood repair and maintenance operations in cooperation with the Maintenance Supervisor in Neighborhoods with special work-load circumstances to include large home counts (eg over 900 homes).
Functions / responsibilities include, providing guidance for the day-to-day neighborhood maintenance operations under the direction of the Maintenance Supervisor and or the Neighborhood Manager, The Lead Maintenance Technician assists and provides continuity for the Maintenance Supervisor for all neighborhood maintenance activities.
As a working team leader, this position performs emergency, urgent and routine repairs and/or preventive maintenance, including HVAC, electrical, plumbing and carpentry work.
Performs other duties as assigned, including turnover maintenance, routine and preventative maintenance, and shop and equipment clean-up.
Required SkillsPositive attitude, highly organized and energetic.
Strong interpersonal skills and a desire to provide continued customer satisfaction, as well as provide an environment of training and development of the maintenance technicians.
Ability to work flexible shift schedules, including nights and weekends.
Must possess a valid drivers license.
Must possess and be willing to use personal vehicle per PMH policies and procedures.
Required ExperienceHigh school diploma or equivalent required.
Minimum two years multi-family housing maintenance experience and four years total property maintenance experience; construction or trade HVAC: Type 2 or Universal CFC Certification with 4-6 years experience.
Additional preferred trade experience: Plumbing: Journeyman/State License 4-6 years experience.
Electrician: Journeyman/State License, 4-6 years experience.
Carpenter: Framing and Finish experience, 4-6 years experience.
OSHA Standards and Requirements.
