Lead Enterprise Architect Job in Arlington 22206, Virginia US
Provide subject matter expertise in enterprise architecture and common services solutions, with specific applications to joint data sharing initiatives within the DoD Transition Assistance Program (TAP) technology domains.
The successful candidate will be responsible for developing roadmaps and facilitating teams of architects to provide expertise in enterprise architecture, common services/solutions, and the connection of legacy systems to create enterprise level technology solution for OSD, Services and other supporting organizations.
Core responsibilities will include:
Understand and document business process, goals and drivers of OSD, Services and supporting agencies
Gaining knowledge of the enterprise architecture agenda and the current state environment.
Documenting detailed Operational Views of As Is environments
Driving the implementation of solutions in alignment with future state goals.
Communicating and driving the architectural vision among all constituents.
Monitoring project implementation to ensure adherence to architectural guidelines.
Collaborating with interagency and Service IT teams to promote standardization across the enterprise.
Assisting with business case and CBA development.
Proposing solutions to business needs/issues.
Obtaining consensus from all stakeholders for technology solutions.
Simplifying the technology landscape where possible.
Performing software evaluations and conducting buy vs. build analysis.
Maintaining an understanding of the healthcare industry and adapting to trends/needs on an ongoing basis.
Facilitating architectural and solution teams from OSD, Services, partner organizations (DoL, VA) and contractor staffTasks include:
Developing Operation Views
Developing Concept Papers
Developing and designing reference models
Providing presentations
Facilitating meetings
Coordinating with architects among all DoD, Services, and other supporting agencies
Developing collaborative positions
Applying or recommending solutions in place
Contributing to the OSD TAP common services knowledge baseREQUIREMENTS:
Highly experienced and industry-recognized expert in IT EA/SOA solutions, including enterprise services
10+ years experience in IT and business architecture in direct project and program management.
Understand business process needs for the DoD and OSD personnel systems and communities and be able to address end and business user goals and the business case gap.
Well developed consulting skills of listening, public speaking, interviewing, and writing.
