Lead Engineer Job in Hanover, Maryland US

We are actively involved in numerous commercial and DOD based electronic development programs.

Our typical designs include low frequency analog front ends, high dynamic range A/D converters, high speed digital telemetry electronics and data fusion, complex VHDL coding inclusive of embedded DSP processing, VHDL instantiation of numerous communication macros, sequenced voltage regulation, multiplying phase lock loops and developing complex partitioning and routing schemes for the aforementioned designs.

We are looking for an experienced hardware / firmware designer to help lead and participate in these designs.

Responsibilities: The successful candidate will both lead and assist in all aspects of the design process while insuring proper ISO standards are adhered to. This person will work with program management during the costing phase and help track progress during the design phase.

They will help write and review all design documentation during development.

They will assist with customer meetings and inform management when customer scope changes have been requested.

They will be responsible for the project meeting both schedules and cost.

Requirements: Recent experience in both high speed digital and analog designExperience leading hardware development teamsExperience writing VHDL codeExperience using Xilinx ISE Development SoftwareExperience using Xilinx Embedded Development Kit (EDK)Experience using ModelSim Simulation softwareExperience presenting technical presentationsExperience working within an ISO certified organizationExperienced technical writer / reviewerExperience programming in C desiredEight years of professional experience desired Other: Currently possesses, or ability to obtain, DoD clearance (ie US Citizenship requiredCompensation: Commensurate with background Some travel may be required.
