Laboratory Technician 1 Job in Cambridge 02142, Massachusetts US
JOB FUNCTION / PURPOSE: The laboratory technician will be responsible for cleaning labware and equipment, maintaining adequate stock of lab supplies, maintaining cleanliness in shared laboratory areas and assisting in media preparation.
The successful applicant will be efficient and organized, contributing to a highly functioning laboratory environment.
The position is located in Cambridge, Massachusetts.
RESPONSIBILITES:
Collect, wash and restock labware in bioprocess and biology laboratories
Maintain laboratory equipment cleanliness and keep track of PM schedules
Maintain supplies of standard consumables
Assist in media preparation, gel preparation and pouring plates
Perform receiving functions and maintain stockroomQUALIFICATIONS: The successful candidate will be an enthusiastic, well organized and efficient worker with a high school diploma or equivalent.
The ideal candidate will have some experience in a laboratory setting.
In addition an ideal candidate will possess several of the following skills/attributes: · Aseptic technique· Proficient with use of lab equipment such as pipetter, analytical scale and graduated cylinder· Command of Microsoft office
