Lab Outreach Mgr Job in Worcester, Massachusetts US
Responsible and accountable to the Director of Health System Laboratory Services (the Lab Outreach Director).
Serves as the primary liaison between assigned laboratory outreach customers and UMMMC hospital laboratories to ensure that the laboratory services provided meet customers' needs.
Monitors and evaluates the performance of phlebotomists in assigned customer sites and draw stations, responds to customer and patient issues regarding those phlebotomists, determines disciplinary actions and conducts annual performance reviews regarding customer patient issues for those phlebotomists.
Is responsible for selling prospective new clients as assigned by the Director and for maintaining lab outreach business from existing clients.
Promotes business growth by ensuring positive relationships with all assigned clients.
Assists in ensuring that laboratory outreach program goals are met. Job Requirements: Associate Degree and/or applicable related job experience.
Minimum of 5 years of laboratory customer service, laboratory customer account management and/or laboratory sales experience.
Strong interpersonal skills and ability to supervise employees in different locations is required.
Excellent working knowledge of lab operations required.
Medical terminology required.
Excellent verbal and written communications skills required.
Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively required.
Strong problem solving abilities with attention to detail required.
Ability to use personal computers and proficiency with standard applications software required.
Serves as the primary liaison to outreach clients.
Resolves customer & patient concerns in assigned sites.
Monitors & evaluates performance of assigned staff.
Responsible for selling assigned prospective new clients and retaining existing business.
Strong knowledge of lab operations REQUIRED.
Travel REQUIRED.
5+ yrs account mgmt and/or lab ops or sales experience REQUIRED.
