LAN Certified Network Analyst (CNA) Job in Dearborn 48120, Michigan US
TEKsystems is seeking a LAN Certified Network Analyst in Detroit, Michigan.
Configure, upgrade, and maintain LAN switch and router configurations.
Manage and implement customer-initiated change requests for LAN work orders.
Plan, schedule, communicate and implement new LAN technologies (eg VoIP, IPVideo, etc.). Participate in Global change control to communicate network changes and implementation plan/schedule.
Participate in planning meetings and ensure standards are implemented.
Oversee the structured wiring implementation and up-to-date documentation for the LANs.
Provide technical direction to LAN Customer Engineers for software and hardware implementations.
Provide training for new technologies.
Provide operational break/fix support whenever necessary to resolve infrastructure problems.
Respond promptly to out of hours support requests (eg 15 minute callback).
Provide leadership role in problem correction situations (be the example).
Responsible for DNS IP administration and accuracy of information in DNS and IP databases.
Understand and implement current strategies and solutions for network equipment, network management tools and operational support processes.
Work with planning to provide detailed implementation, verification and back out plans on infrastructure changes to the global change control committee.
Skills Required: Strong technical and working knowledge experience related to Cisco switches, wireless, and LAN protocol standards.
Experience Required: Multiple years experience working in a large, complex networking environment.
3-5 years working with advanced networking technologies, implementing equipment in customer production environments.
