Ethernet controllers include 10/100/1000Mbps and 10 Gbps devices.

Responsibilities include, but not limited to: Setting up, configuring and installing equipment on Ethernet networks Performing lab equipment set up and troubleshootingUsing oscilloscopes and Vector Network Analyzers (VNAs) for RF frequency band measurementsSoldering and reworking test boardsThis is an estimated 1 year contingent/temporary position through Volt Technical Resources- a division of a Fortune 1000 publicly traded Staffing Industry Leader, located in Portland, Oregon.

Requirements: Required Skills for this Network Test Technician position includes the following: 3-5 years of experience with 10 Gig Ethernet controller testing in various modes, configurations and environmentsMinimum of an AA degree in Electrical or Computer EngineeringFamiliarity with RF frequency band measurements techniques and S-parametersExperience using oscilloscopes and VNAsCapability of working with board schematics and soldering SMT componentsFamiliarity with transmission lines, analog circuit design and signal integrityElectrical validation experience, including lab work; transmission lines and signal integrityExperience debugging at the circuit board level problems in the analog and digital domains using scopes, logic analyzers, VNAs and other tools Familiarity with Ethernet physical layer interfaces (both fiber and copper) up to 10Gbps and/or network circuit designFamiliarity with PCI and PCIe busesSAN testing experience a plusAbility to work and contribute in a cross-functional product team Demonstrated ability to work and solve problems independently or with minimal supervisionExcellent writing and verbal communication skillsInstructions to begin the process: Email your resume to Volt at: portland0233 [at] volt [dot] com and it will be expedited to the Recruiter assigned to this position.
