Junior Web / System Administrator Job in New York 10005, New York US
Junior Web AdministratorAs a team member of the Web Operations Group, you will be part of a dynamic environment and exciting new technologies.
As a junior web admin you will be working with team members that are very experienced in hosting, design, operating system administration, application administration, monitoring, project management and development.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Working with other teams outside of web operations to maintain operating system and site monitoring current.
Creating and updating documentation on any processes between the NOC and web operations.
Creating and requesting DNS records on internal/external systems.
Troubleshooting site performance and availability issues.
User account administration on different systems.
Web build deployments to various environments.
Setting up new environments with instructions that are provided by the senior web Admins.
Provide on-call support.
QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED: Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Strong analytical and problem solving skills.
Knowledge on the following is preferred: Drupal CMS Attlasian CrowdAttlasian BambooLDAPJboss Application ServerSubVersionApache DNSNetworkingOperating System AdministrationFirewallsLoad BalancersMailGomez Experience: Minimum 2 years of experience in web operations.
Minimum 4 years of experience in system administration.
Education: Bachelors degree in computer science or other related studies.
