Junior Linux Administrator Job in Hunt Valley 21065, Maryland US
TEKsystems currently has a Junior Linux Administrator immediately available with one of its larger clients in the Baltimore area.
This is a 6 month contract position with a strong possiblility of being extended.
The client is looking to bring this person in and mold them into a mid-level Linux Administrator.The ideal candidate will possess the following skills and qualifications: TCP/IP - entry levelUNIX Fundamentals - entry levelLinux System Administration - entry levelApache Web Server Administration - entry levelUNIX Shell - entry levelExplanation for Position: The client's Internet Systems team provides technical infrastructure support for the____.com application development and QA teams, as well as deployment and support of customer applications in the ____.com production environment.
Details of Position: Deploys application software to Linux servers running WebLogic Application Server and Apache Web Server.
Performs troubleshooting of application systems and resolves issues.
Performs 24x7 production support for UPS.com on a rotation basis, including off hours support via remote access and cell phone.
