Technical SkillsYou will provide technical leadership in a development team and will be responsible for software architecture, design and development in collaboration with other product teams.
You will bring knowledgeof the software development lifecycle, and an understanding of J2EEtechnologies and SOA. Youdevelop systems using Java technologies using JSP, AJAX,Struts, Spring, Hibernate etc. As a Java Technologist/Software Architect you must have: Passionate about Java and Open source technologiesStrong interest and proven experience in Java and Open source technologies in developing software architecture Ability to investigate and propose new technologies and frameworks to meet requirements Proven track record inarchitecture and creation professional grade softwareExperience with theentire software lifecycle planning, analysis, design, implementation,quality assurance, deployment, and maintenanceAbility to coordinatetechnical work of a team of engineers during the entire lifecycleMonitor and guideprogress of developers towards specific, deadline-driven goals An ideal candidate should have anunderstanding of the followingand will be expected to do hands-on work with the tools/technologies: Expert level skills in UML,OOA,OODand at least 5 years of technical experience in various J2EE technologiesincluding WS* technologies, RMI, EJB, Servlets, JSP, MDB, JDBC, XML, Spring, Hibernate, AJAX, JSF etc.A strong technologiest with clear understanding of open source technologies (specifically J2EE and WS)and industrybest practicesHasknowledge/experience of WebServices, and has prior systems integration background.
Product developmentexperience is a plusUnderstanding of MDAbased framework(s)Experience working in Linux environmentKnowledge andexperience in Health IT and Bioinformatics is a plus Communication SkillsPositions requireverbal and written communication skills to communicate solutions architects, customers and other technical audienceRequires ability to transform therequirements in to technical architecture/design and effectively communicatewith the stakeholdersTakes responsibility for the architecture, design anddelivery of projects to productionProduces architecture documents and design specifications in the course of implementing solutionsOversees the technical design and technical implementation, guides and supportsthe engineering staff during the projectAdopts an innovativeand committed approach to overcoming obstacles and solving problems in order tosuccessfully deliver on commitmentsAble to representclient at customer meetings, presentations and conferences EducationABachelors degree in CS, Information Systems or equivalent; Masters in CS,Business, or Information Systems or equivalent.
