This large scale multiple year implementation project will implement a custom J2EE system that will replace the current system and the 10 subsystems that support the various UI programs.

New system will replace 13 business processes and 10 sub-systems of a 29 year old system with many enhancements and integrations Job Description: Bring experience equivalent to work on several end-to-end J2EE/Web application deployments Have technical competence and abilities to collaborate with existing vendor technical leads Focus on understanding the methodologies and structure of the code that has been developed Participate in code work for the remaining scope but use this opportunity to learn and own transition of the whole application Transition this knowledge to permanent Agency Resources Communicate, inquire, and understand about both the holistic approach used to code the application as well as the specific techniques used Required Experience/Skills: Presentation: Struts (Struts validation, Struts lookup dispatch action, Spring's DelegatingActionProxy) Framework: Spring Framework (Transaction Management, Application Context Configuration) Data: iBatis for cross table selects (Hooks via Spring against a DB2 database) Data: Generated DAOs for basic CRUD operations Unit Testing: JUnit (Spring's Transaction Management) Application Server: WebSphere Batch Framework: Spring Batch (Running on USS on the Mainframe, JCL)Strong Communication Strong formal knowledge on industry standard techniques, methodologies and processes Ability to dialog and challenge peers and leadership.
