Java/C++ Developer MUST have Unix/Linux command-line experience!Location: Chicago, IL area Our client is seeking a contract-to-hire candidate to use a Linux command-line window on a daily basis to manipulate large text-based data files.
Requirements: · Ability to edit script files from terminal session windows, demonstrate knowledge of numerous command-line utilities, and ability to efficiently manipulate gigabyte-sized text files · Commercial experience manipulating large data files using bash/ksh/sh and common Unix/Linux command line tools · Commercial experience programming in one or more of the following scripting languages: gawk(or variant), python, or perl · Experience using SQL to insert, extract, and manipulate data in Postgresql or Oracle databases· Gmake (or variant) experience· Object-oriented programming experience: Java or C++· IDS or NAME3 software from Informatica (fka - Identity Systems and Search Software America) All candidates MUST be authorized to work in US without requiring sponsorship.
