International Tax Manager Job in Detroit, Michigan US
Our client, a prominent automotive manufacturing company in the Detroit-Metro area, has asked us to find an International Tax Manager for their corporate headquarters.The successful candidate will be responsible for the international portion of the US income tax return and tax compliance.
Specific responsibilities include the following: Co-ordination and completion of tangible and intangible transfer price studies Identify and recommend tax efficient strategies to repatriate foreign earnings Assist in the companys accounting for income tax process, including the Sarbanes-Oxley 404 controls around the tax function Identify planning opportunities concerning hybrid branches, dual consolidated losses and 987 issues Assist with Federal income tax audits Design, development and implementation of the processes necessary to discharge the above responsibilities on a timely basis Manage and train staffQualifications: Bachelors Degree in Accounting or Finance (MSA, MST, and/or LLM in Tax highly preferred) CPA highly preferred Minimum 5 years experience in international tax, preferably with a big four public accounting firm Solid understanding of US Federal income tax Thorough understanding of outbound transactions and US GAAP Excellent written and verbal communication skills Proven ability to deliver under tight deadlines We encourage all interested and qualified candidates to submit their resume or call for further information.
