Interactive Designer - CONTRACT OPPORTUNITY Job in Chicago 60604, Illinois US
PEAK6 Investments, establishedThe Interactive Designer will be responsible for creating sales-generating, award-winning, effective marketing pieces.
He/she will be an “idea” person who’s adept in matching strategic direction with appropriate design results for Web-based applications and interactive multimedia in order to engage users and drive business results.
Scope: • Contribute conceptual ideas for marketing and advertising efforts, including banners, web, landing pages, emails and offline advertising • Leverage the necessary skills to take ideas from concept through final execution, producing a significant percentage of the team’s output • Design and develop creative executions for a variety of web and digital projects, including web pages, landing pages and display advertising -- both for new projects and updating existing executions • Design and develop email campaigns, from initial design, based on strategy provided, to execution to creating HTML to implementation in Exact Target if needed • On rare occasions, for a non-digital design assignment, leverage graphic design skills to create and develop those executions (eg direct mail, out-of-home campaigns) • As marketing needs to deliver files to Tech for implementation, serve as a resource to communicate with Tech in order to provide the appropriate files and code-complete pages Qualifications: • Must have 3-5 years design experience • Ability to brainstorm, collaborate and convey ideas • Strong proficiency in Flash and other rich-media & emerging technologies • Understanding of HTML and CSS • Working knowledge of HTML code and web site structure and functionality • Strong Illustration skills • Strong understanding of technology, and media • Strong understanding of marketing • Self-motivated, highly organized, flexible during peak workload, detail-oriented • Positive attitude and ability to juggle multiple projects and timelinesSee Job Description
