The Integration Consultant is responsible for implementing integration to support workflow models between SunGard Higher Education's products and other 3rd party products.

The consultant would contribute to the development of new or custom solutions by designing and developing new APIs/web services or enhancement of existing APIs/web services.

The consultant would be expected to follow the standard agendas and use approved service artifacts for standard services.

Duties are performed at client sites and remote.

This consultant will have opportunities to continue to learn and grow overall integration consulting skills over time to help build new solutions, including learning and implementing new technologies such as web services, the Infinity Process Platform, enterprise services buses and other Service-Oriented Architecture technologies.

Consultant would also have opportunity to learn how to integrate other types of applications/services that may be part of an open digital campus (PowerCampus, Advance, and other applications, for example).

Excellent opportunity for someone who wants to be mentored and grown into an integration/SOA architect.

Essential Duties & ResponsibilitiesUnderstanding of the value of Banner Workflow in the Integration Architecture of a UDC both standard offerings and extensibility for new solutions.

Delivers standard Banner Workflow Implementation services when necessary.

Researches and applies best practices and benchmark knowledge to support development or improvement of extended and new integration solutions.

Provides design, development and deployment support for components needed for integration.

Verifies, validates and provides instruction and/or direction on software use and/or setup.

Coordinates with project manager, account owner on status of project and on the resolution of issues that occur.

Provides go-live (production) support.

Required Skills/Knowledge/Experience: Technical SkillsKnowledge of Banner Workflow and ability to delivery against standard workflow service agendas (recommended but not required; will be cross trained in this area).At least 5 years of Banner knowledge, with an emphasis on Banner Student and Finance, Luminis a plus.

Knowledge of PL/SQL, Oracle Architecture, Best practices for Oracle development, Banner coding standards, Banner API design.Web services, Business Process Management Notation (BPMN) and other SOA knowledge a plus.

Able to create or modify Banner APIs, in addition INB forms, SSB forms is a plus, or be able to write detailed specifications to lead such efforts.

Able to create and execute against project plans, sprint plans and test plans.

Consulting SkillsStrong communication skills, and strict adherence to corporate standards and practices.

Familiar with the UDC Framework implementation model, agile methodology, interaction with Project Management and Practice managers at SunGard Higher Education.

Able to deliver other integration services, and open to cross-training opportunities.

Proven history of excellent consulting skills to provide value to SunGard Higher Education clients.

Proficient with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, with additional experience in Project and Visio considered a plus.

Ability to interface & collaborate with technical and functional users a critical success factor.

Enjoys learning new technologies to continue to add value to solve client needs.
