TEMA headquarters in Erlanger, KY, house the Toyota Operations Center and the Toyota Planning Center.
The main offices for the Toyota Technical Center are in Ann Arbor, MI. This position is in the Integrated Vehicle Systems (IVS) Department, located in Ann Arbor, MI. The responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to: Identify new control theories and practices that can be applied to cooperative systems.
Develop and validate new control theories.
Develop and manage software and hardware development and implementation plans.
Participate in technical discussions, development, tests, and report writing in the government-industry collaborations for cooperative technologies using wireless communication.
Develop technical proposals and reports for industry and TTC projects.
Ph.D or MS in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related disciplines.
5 or more years of experience in control theories and research.
5 or more years of experience working with vehicle dynamics, architecture and control systems.
Familiar with software development, MATLAB simulation and implementation using C++ and Linux.
Experience in managing industry collaboration projects.
Good understanding of wireless communication technologies.
Good oral and written communication skills.
Ability and willingness to travel both domestically and internationally.
