SUMMARY To service all clientele in a consistent and professional manner.
To work with producers to maintain synergy with Hub corporate goals, our carrier requirements, and the needs of our clients.
The Customer Service Agents role is to provide the highest quality of professional service to every customer.
This includes answering questions, providing professional information, enhancing existing policies and cross-selling accounts upon every opportunity.
Job Functions and Responsibilities · Maintain excellent customer relations and address customer questions and requests.
· Enhance existing policies when needed and solicit expiration dates.
· Remarket Nonrenewals.
· Rewrite existing policies when needed.
· Process endorsements through communication/interface with customers, banking institutions and/or carriers.
· Process invoices and credits for agency billed business.
· Market, quote and process new business on existing and new customers.
· Complete applications for all new business, thoroughly and accurately.
· Review new policies as they are received to be sure of accuracy.
· Maintain account files in accordance with established procedures.
· Keep New Business logs up to date.
· Keep informed and up to date on industry and carrier issues.
· Maintain positive relations and keep direct communication with carrier underwriters and staff.
· Keep up with daily diaries (suspense).
· Respond to carrier e-mail in timely manner.
· Complete performance objectives as directed by Personal Insurance Department Manager.
· Perform other specific duties and projects as directed by Personal Insurance Department Manager.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following.
Other duties may be assigned or requested by management including special projects.
Service the needs of our insureds with professionalism, positive attitude, and promptness.
Review assignments for the book of business.
Coordinate internal processing on assigned accounts, which includes: daily mail, ordering of renewal or new coverages, invoicing, company and/or client correspondence, suspense and follow-up, computer information input and client and/or policy information update.
Check policies, endorsements, audits, and other policy documents for accuracy.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES Oversee functions performed by Assistant Service Representative/ Agent.
QUALIFICATIONS To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE High School diploma, AA or college degree preferred.
Preferably three to five years in company or agency underwriting with at least three of those years in personal lines.
Brokerage experience preferred.
Computer literacy required.
LANGUAGE SKILLS Good written and oral communication skills required.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS Above average mathematical skills.
REASONING ABILITY Excellent analytical, negotiating, and organizational skills.
Technical expertise in Property, Umbrella, and specialty coverages.
CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS Property/Casualty License requiredContinuing education as required by California State law.Pursuit of insurance technical education: CIC, AAI and or CPCU/CLU, ARM, CISR, ACSR, AICS, etc. PHYSICAL DEMANDS This position may require stooping, lifting (maximum 10lbs.).
